Sight Power Inc is a company headquartered in Ottawa, Canada and with offices and development centres in Johannesburg, South Africa and Kharkiv, Ukraine.

The company was established by the group of businessmen, engineers and scientists who have practical experience in the development of analytical information and data modelling systems for mining and oil and gas industries as well as in the design, assembly and application of special C&I equipment. In addition for many years the same team has been developing the decision support systems based on the monitoring and mathematical modelling of various natural phenomena.

The SightPower founders and employees have a lot of experience in carrying out the specialised consulting services for the global mining industry. They consulted such big international companies as De Beers, Nexen, Husky, Autodesk, Huber Energy, Shaft Sinkers, Metso Minerals, UralKaliy, EuroChem, Ukrainian State Oil and Gas company, DMT, ALROSA etc. for whom they developed the unique technological solutions.

The ultimate goal of SightPower’s technological development is the implementation of DIGITAL MINE™ concept. It is based on the idea of collecting and processing detailed information about all operations and work processes at the enterprise, and combining this information with the modeling facilities, monitoring, and distributed sensor systems into a unified corporate solution based on the adjustable Geological & Mining Information Systems (GMIS) Mine Advisor™.

The implementation of the Mine Advisor™ assumes flexible adaptation of existing GMIS tools to match the company’s processes, while most existing boxed mining and geological packages suggest working with existing tools in a way they were designed and adapting company’s workflows to the capabilities of these tools.

The suggested approach facilitates to provide a high degree of automation of daily routine operations for geologists, mining engineers, mine surveyors, and other specialists. This naturally leads to increase in labor productivity and to a reduction of the likelihood of technical errors. The methods of network data exchange, provided by the Mine Advisor™ architecture, allow minimizing delays associated with the transfer of information between specialists and departments, since all specialists work within a unified informational space. It is also possible to organize effective interaction and data exchange not only within a single mine, but also between several mines of a mining company.

Basing on GMIS Mine Advisor™ SightPower service department also suggests integrated technological hardware & software solutions based on complex information analysis during the exploration, design and exploitation stages of mineral deposits development combining geological and economic data analysis with environmental and safety requirements.

In particular it is worth to note the SightPower technological breakthrough in development of automated monitoring system for the mineshafts and transportation tunnels. The proposed system consists of the specialized mobile high-speed laser scanning and high-resolution digital photographic hardware and software with AI elements for post-processing of the obtained data.
